Let's Try This Again

I stopped blogging about what I had planned for dinner, but I never stopped my monthly planning. Randomly today, I posted that I finished my February planning. FB comments, texts and emails came in from friends wanting my ideas. I love to share, so I need to know if people are following and using my data! Please comment, ask questions, request my recipes, make suggestions.....Remember flexibility is key to dinner planning!

School Days

Whew, I'm so glad that I decided to really get organized at the beginning of this month! My first day of teaching isn't for another week, but with my son in school already and me getting my classroom organized this has really kept me on track. We had stuffed peppers tonight. It was so easy since I used frozen stuffing. My stuffing part makes enough for three meals!!!

Grocery List

When making my grocery list, I list sections all over my sheet of paper, bread, produce, dairy, snack foods, canned food, breakfast, meat, frozen food. This helps me to fill in by looking at my menu and deciding what I need to buy for that meal each night. Remember to include snacks, lunch and breakfast, too. Then I organize it by my store and the order I will be walking down the aisles.

Be Flexible

Just because I do this monthly menu, doesn't mean we are not flexible. Tonight, I have down salmon, but I couldn't find any salmon that looked good. We are still doing seafood. Its just going to be shrimp instead! So, my point here is that it may look like I'm OCD, but I can always be flexible too! Have a great week!!!
